Last day in Athens was quite a relaxing day, we didn’t do much, we went for lunch at TGIF as I saw the advert on the tour bus then I was craving for it, and we also get 10% when we present the ticket. I’m such a sucker for the advert like that, and also I haven’t had TGIFridays for a while and I really could use some good Jack Daniels steak. After lunch, we walked to see the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic games that we are know today. Being a huge fan of the Olympic, it was just an undescribed feeling to be standing inside the stadium.
Afterwards, we took a tour bus for another round of the city to see it all again, then we head back to hotel to get some rest before dinner. It was so easy to feel tired and dehydrated because the weather was so hot and dry. While relaxing in the hotel, we also did some research of Santorini, so we have a rough idea of what we can do and where to go.
Dinner was at the restaurant calls Funky Gourmet, it was a very different gastronomical experience for me, I think we had about 12 courses, they are quite small in portions but still I was very full by the end. The dishes was the mixtures of different tastes together, most are quite unusual blend of flavours but somehow they work well together for the dish. It was an unique experience and I would like to share with you all, here are pictures of the food that I got to try.
