So one of my friend came all the way from Norwich and he really wanted to try out the Pollen Street Social.
We went there last Wednesday, the food was pleasant and the price is reasonable for the lunch set menu.
What you see above is a tasting box, it comes in the shape of a book ( sorry I couldn’t take a picture of it) . I can’t really remember what they are, I think it was crispy pig skin, cracker with sour cream and cracker with tomatoes puree. (follow the order: bottom row, left to right)
Next is this amazing dish, it’s a slow cooked egg with a lot of flavour to it. The egg is perfectly cooked, it just melted in my mouth, blending so well with all the flavours that come with the dish.
For main, I had the Roasted Red-legged partridge, with orange & chocolate chips [ that’s right, it’s orange and chocolate chips!! Just amazing!! ]. I enjoyed the dish overall, but I feel the meat is a bit tough (it’s probably just the way it supposes to be).
Sadly, I did not order dessert this time, I was too full to get dessert [weird right!? cause there’s always room for dessert !! ].
But anyway, if you happen to visit this restaurant then you should definitely try their dessert, because they have quite a variety of dessert.
Hope you guys enjoy this post !
Have a good Sunday !
Love,
Kels xx
