I’ve been wanting to write this article for quite awhile now, back June when I got to the last city of my summer trip, which was Geneva. I got sometime to look back the past year and my 16 days traveling to eight different cities at the time. I thought of how incredible all the experience were, I got to see so much, so many eyes opening moments. However, I also got to think about how much I miss home, where the environment is so familiar and comfortable. Moving from hotel to hotel can be fun and exciting at first as you get clean bed sheet everyday, experience different type of hospitalities; but up to a certain point, it can be daunting to just keep moving from place to place, not being able to sleep in my own bed, waking up to unfamiliar space. And as I’m writing this, I am sitting in another hotel room, I feel very lucky that recently, every time I traveled I get upgraded to a better room. But it is nothing compare to staying at home in my own room, I know many of you may think that I’m being a unappreciative for saying this, but it’s really not like that. I still am feeling very blessed for all the opportunities to travel and see the world, but at the same time, I miss home a lot more, which made me appreciate home even more.
And was just talking about living space, but there are other factors as well, the transportation and especially the food. Though I get to try out new food and going to restaurants, but it can be very tiring to think of what to eat everyday, and sometimes you just miss those simple meals you get at home.
And now that I have two pugs to look after in my home in Vietnam, I want to be home even more, I miss them so much whenever I’m away, like this time I travel, it was only for 4 days but I just couldn’t stop thinking about them. And I just can’t even think of when I have to leave them for London in October, it is just too sad to think about the fact that I will be away for a few months.
And finally, if you’re looking for a fashion/lifestyle post, then this might not be it, but this is a new segment that I want to add to my blog, where I share a little bit of my thoughts about life and everything really. This won’t be something that I write about often, but from time to time, when I have a thought that I think would be interesting to share, I will do it here, where the segment calls “Stories”. I hope you will enjoy this little segment.
P.S. I feel that this post is close and personal so I also shared a few pictures of my pugs, I got Cooper first and then my brother got Poopie but he couldn’t keep him at his place due to some silly regulation so I take care of him too. They are just too adorable, aren’t they??!!
Hope you enjoy this article and have a great Sunday!
