I was so happy and excited for Singapore Day and it was really up to my expectation. The food and entertainment were great, the weather was at its best, super sunny and warm. Having to live in Singapore for 8 years, Singapore food has become part of me and I miss it so much when I moved to London, where there isn’t a lot of Singaporean restaurant or even if there are, the quality and tastes are not always the same as what I can get in Singapore. This year, Singapore Day came to London with all the famous Hawker Centre (Food Court) food, such as char kuey teow, Hainanese chicken rice, Laksa, Bak kut teh and many many more. My friends and I were lucky enough to get to try out most the food because we were there early and the queue was not too bad, but after 11, it was crowded, the queue sometimes took up to 45 mins waiting but was totally worth it. Later at night, we headed to Four Seasons in Chinatown for some good roasted duck. Overall, it was a well spent Saturday 🙂
For the day outfit, I chose to wear something casual and comfortable so I can run around to get food and sit down on the ground to enjoy the food and chill out. Boyfriend jeans was the one for it, it just enough to keep my warm at night because when the sun is gone, it’s back the same old London weather, cold and windy. I have been looking for one for ages, but every time I tried on, I faced with disappointment cause I would never find one that fit me nicely. I gave up but when I saw this at Forever21, I just had to give it a try and it was perfect, exactly what I was looking for. I paired the look with the neon orange trainer, black jewel sweater and blue DKNY bowling bag cause I have been obsessing with blue lately.
